The State Services Commission has formed an Expert Advisory Panel (EAP) to work with government on New Zealand's national action plan as part of its commitment to the Open Government Partnership (OGP).
The partnership between civil society and government is a critical component of the OGP. As part of consultation on a national action OGP asks countries to "identify an existing or new forum to enable regular multi-stakeholder consultation on OGP implementation". The EAP currently functions as New Zealand's multi-stakeholder forum.
The EAP provides advice around the following:
- the mid-term and final review of the second action plan
- the process for and development of the third national action plan
- any other relevant OGP matters.
The following are members of the Expert Advisory Panel:
- Mr Te Rau Kupenga
- Dr Miriam Lips
- Mr Scott Miller
- Mr Philip Newman
- Ms Rachel Roberts
- Ms Suzanne Snively
